Sony officially publishes the PlayStation 5 look
At the end of last year, Sony announced the launch of the PlayStation 5 (PS5) towards the end of 2020, according to the publication on the official PlayStation blog by President Jim Ryan, but it seems that there has been a change in the company's plans and the console has arrived more early.

Sony finally introduced the PlayStation 5 design. After almost an hour of PS5 game announcements, Sony revealed the hardware design during the PS5 live event that took place yesterday. The PS5 console includes a black and white design to match the new controller that will be included in the box.

The positioning of the PS5 is vertical, like the Xbox Series X, designed primarily to be placed, and will include two versions: one with a 4K Blu-ray drive and a pure digital edition. The PS5 variant without the optical drive looks substantially thinner than the normal model, thanks to the removal of the drive.

Removing the drive should mean that the PS5 Digital Edition is also cheaper, but Sony has yet to mention prices. Sony simply revealed the design during the event, but the company did not provide a firm release date or exact price for any of the PlayStation 5 variants.

CHARACTERISTICS
Regarding the hardware characteristics, Sony, like Microsoft, has been slowly providing more information about the next generation PS5 in recent months. The console will arrive later this year and is equipped with an eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and a custom AMD RDNA 2-based Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Sony announced the PS5 specifications in January and custom AMD chips will provide. 10.28 teraflops processing (PS4 Pro has 4.2 teraflops), using variable frequencies on the CPU and GPU.

Sony is also using a proprietary SSD solution to reduce game loading times. The SSD will provide 825 GB of storage and 5.5 GB / s of performance. Sony requires all games to be installed on the internal SSD to make use of read speeds. The PS5 also supports 8K graphics, 4K graphics at 120Hz refresh rate and 3D audio.

Not least, during the presentation Sony announced the PS5 DualSense controller, it has adaptive triggers, tactile feedback and a new creation button designed to share the gameplay content. Like the company's DualShock controllers, the D-pad and buttons will remain on the top half of the controller, while the two analog sticks will be on the bottom. DualSense will also have a touchpad mounted in the center and a redesigned light bar that sits on either side of the touchpad.

Apple will be preparing the launch of its new smart glasses project

Apple has been working on Augmented Reality glasses for a few years. This week more details about the device emerged, released by Jon Prosser, the author of Front Page Tech, who claims to have seen videos with a working prototype.

He says that Apple wants the Apple Glass (with this name that the glasses are going to be placed on the market) to be one of its famous ads for “one more thing” at the event, but that the company also wants to launch the glasses in a big event where the media will be present. This could count on the launch of the iPhone 12 if the social distance is still in place.

According to Prosser, the glasses will have screens on both lenses, a sensor handle on the frame and will be compatible for those who already wear glasses regularly. Apple Glass will be available at a price of around $ 499. For those who already wear glasses on a daily basis, Apple will be able to prepare graduated lenses to integrate in Glas.

Remember that Tim Cook has already made it public that he believes that Augmented Reality will play an important role in the future of technology, possibly with an impact similar to that of the iPhone.

In short, these glasses promise to be a turning point in the technological segment. Apple is not the only one working on Augmented Reality glasses, however, it may be the company that brings technology to the world in a more natural way.

Mark Zuckerberg promises Facebook policy review

Mark Zuckerberg promises Facebook policy review

Mark Zuckerberg, pictured in October 2019, has vowed to review Facebook’s policies allowing discussion and threats of state use of force
San Francisco, United States | AFP | Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg on Friday promised to review the social network’s policies that led to its decision to not moderate controversial messages posted by US President Donald Trump.

The announcement, which came in the form of a letter to employees, appeared aimed at quelling anger inside the company that was so severe it prompted some to quit.

The outrage was sparked when Zuckerberg said Facebook would not remove or flag Trump’s recent posts that appeared to encourage violence against those protesting police racism.

Zuckerberg’s message Friday seemed to attempt to mollify that anger: “We’re going to review our policies allowing discussion and threats of state use of force to see if there are any amendments we should adopt,” Zuckerberg wrote.

This, he said, includes “excessive use of police or state force. Given the sensitive history in the US, this deserves special consideration.”

Social media platforms have faced mounting calls to moderate the president’s comments, most recently because of the unrest gripping the United States in the wake of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man killed while apprehended by police.

“The decision I made last week has left many of you angry, disappointed and hurt,” Zuckerberg said in the letter, which he posted on his Facebook page.

Timothy Aveni, a software engineer who resigned from the company, wrote on his Facebook page that the social media platform:

“will keep moving the goalposts every time Trump escalates, finding excuse after excuse not to act on increasingly dangerous rhetoric.”

Zuckerberg said he is exploring possible changes on how policy decisions are made at Facebook, along with more ways to advance racial justice and voter engagement.

“While we are looking at all of these areas, we may not come up with changes we want to make in all of them,” Zuckerberg cautioned.

As per voting, Zuckerberg said: “I have confidence in the election integrity efforts we’ve implemented since 2016.”

“But there’s a good chance that there will be unprecedented fear and confusion around going to the polls in November, and some will likely try to capitalize on that confusion,” he said.

The letter also addressed employees’ complaints that minorities have not been sufficiently represented internally.

“We’re going to review whether we need to change anything structurally to make sure the right groups and voices are at the table,” Zuckerberg said.

Angolan telecommunications minister asks for “patience” for Africell to fulfill tender requirements
The minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha, asked this Friday, 13, in Luanda, for "patience" so that Africell, the company selected for the fourth telecommunications operator in the country, meets the deadlines and terms of reference. , such as the implementation of infrastructure in Angola.
"We need to go through all the stages of the process and have patience that we also want to provide information and a good service", explained José Carvalho da Rocha, adding that several companies participated in the tender for the new operator.
Lebanese Africell was the candidate selected by the Angolan government to submit a proposal to grant a license to become the fourth telecommunications operator in Angola, as announced last week.
According to the interministerial working group - made up of the ministers of Finance, Telecommunications and Information Technologies and of Economy and Planning - three companies requested parts of the tender (MTN of South Africa, Africell Holding SAL of Lebanon and BAI Investimentos de Angola ), but only the Lebanese has formalized the application.

According to the official who spoke on the sidelines of the 11th Communications Forum of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), which took place until Friday, 13, in Luanda, the contest was "based on the terms of reference".
"Now, the costs, the financial and technical analysis will now be presented for the evaluation and I cannot refer until the team has finished the work," said the minister.

According to José Carvalho da Rocha, Africell now has 60 days to respond to the specifications and, if it does not do so in that period, the law allows it “to extend the term”, but “everything depends on it”.
"After that, there will be an evaluation by the interministerial commission if, in fact, what it presented corresponds with what are the requirements of the terms of reference", he stressed.

Africell is an international operator, with 18 years of activity in the telecommunications sector, providing mobile, Internet, subscription television and “mobile money” services to more than 12 million customers.

The company is already present in four African countries: The Gambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and Uganda.

Angola currently has three operators, with Unitel leading the market, with around 80% share, ahead of Movicel, with about 20%, and Angola Telecom (state company in the process of privatization) with a position residual.
