Angolan Communications Operators apply free monthly special package

The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, announces that, under the Provisional Presidential Legislative Decree, no. 1/20 of, March 18th and in close articulation with the Public and Private Sector Operators and Service Providers, prepared the Plan Sectorial Contingency Plan, in order to guarantee the provision of minimum voice, messaging, Internet, postal and weather services to citizens and public and private entities.

Therefore, from the 27th of March, the Operators will make available a special monthly free package per subscriber, respecting the following minimum parameters:

Call to Emergency Numbers (111, 112, 113, 116,119,145,146), for INADEC, for selected Hospitals and Health Centers;

Forty-five (45) minutes of Voice calls (mobile) and sending 30 messages (SMS);

Voice service, within the fixed network of Angola Telecom, TV Cabo and MSTelcom;

Uninterrupted availability of the TPA1 and TPA2 television channels on the ZAP and Multichoice platforms;

In relation to the internet service, access will be made available to Electronic Public Services (SEPE), to the Ministry of Health Portal and to the Government Portals, as well as two hundred (200) Mega bytes for Data.

Public attendance and in-person hours at the communications regulatory body (INACOM), the Media Library of Angola and bodies under the supervision of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies are immediately suspended.

INACOM is responsible for following up and monitoring in order to guarantee the continuity and stability of the provision of services.
